KYC & Identity Verification

1. Why we verify

Identity verification protects buyers, creators and the platform against fraud, underage use and money laundering, and is required by our payment partners.

2. When verification is required

• Before your first payout.
• Once your lifetime sales exceed €500, before you can publish new payment links.
• Whenever we have a concrete reason to re-verify an account.

3. What we ask for

A government-issued identity document and, where relevant, proof that you are the person appearing in the content you sell, or that you hold the rights to sell it. All sellers must be at least 18 years old.

4. How it is handled

Verification is performed automatically by Stripe Identity, a specialised identity verification provider. You photograph your ID document and take a selfie in Stripe's secure flow; the documents are processed by Stripe under its own privacy commitments, and FanToBuy receives only the verification result. Accounts that fail or refuse verification cannot receive payouts.
